Melbourne Stars captain Cameron White has been fined for showing dissent towards an umpire during his team's Big Bash League match against Brisbane at the Gabba on Tuesday night.

White pleaded guilty on Thursday night to the two breaches of Cricket Australia's code of conduct in the Stars' eight-run win over the Heat.

He was fined a total of $1,500 as a result of the separate incidents in the seventh and 19th overs of the Heat's run chase.

The Stars' next match is against the Sydney Sixers at the SCG on December 27.
