Victoria won its third consecutive women's Twenty20 final over New South Wales after upsetting the shattered Breakers, who were undefeated leading into the decider at Docklands.
The Spirit won the toss and posted a competitive 7 for 143 with the bat, before bowling tightly to restrict the Breakers to 9 for 134 and win the final by nine runs.
The home side was led superbly by player of the match Danni Wyatt, who hit 39 with the bat and followed up with a 3 for 23 shut out of the Breakers with the ball.
