Clark, Dyson to head NSW T20 franchises

Updated May 11, 2011 13:27:00

Former Test players Stuart Clark and John Dyson have been appointed general managers of Sydney's two new Big Bash franchises.

Current New South Wales captain Clark, who is expected to make an announcement on his playing future next week, will take up the reins of Sydney Sixers while ex-Test batsman Dyson will head up Sydney Thunder.

The Sixers will be based at the SCG, while the Thunder will play at the Olympic stadium in the new domestic Twenty20 competition, which will feature eight franchise teams rather than the traditional state outfits.
